Podcasts are a great way to have your students communicate what they have learned.

In the beginning, podcasts were audio broadcast available on the Web to the public for free downloading to a personal computer or a digital audio player. Despite its name, a podcast may be played through a variety of digital audio software and hardware. Use is not limited to the iPod brand products developed by Apple. Now however, the downloads are not always free and you have the option of playing them on the computer or downloading them.

There are also variations on the podcast to include vidcast (videocast) or screencasts (which are used to show how to work a particular software, for example). Screencasts are basically videos about what is happening on the computer screen.
